Welcome to my first magical blog! This is a very exciting day for me because Disney holds a very special place in my heart. So in the words of Peter Pan, “here we gooooo” 💫
I feel it’s fitting to give a little backstory to explain my love for Disney and why I want to share the magic with all of you.
Growing up, I would only watch 3 movies, and when I say “watch”, I mean put the VHS in, watch it, rewind it, and repeat. Those three movies were Disney’s Beauty & the Beast, Pocahontas, and Aristocats. I had those movies memorized forwards and backwards.
When I was in college, I decided I no longer wanted to be a grown up so I packed up and moved to The Most Magical Place On Earth. I applied and was accepted to four Disney College Program internships (I only participated in two). Getting to make magic was truly one of the most magical and unique experiences of my life.
If you have the opportunity to do the DCP, DO IT!
While in Orlando, I learned so much about myself, people, business, and the world that I could not have learned anywhere else. I met people from all walks of life and from every corner of the earth. I met some of my favorite humans who will forever hold a special place in my heart.
I get asked all the time if being a Cast Member at Disney ruined the magic, and truthfully, it made the magic even more addicting. I love talking about all things Disney and sharing the magic with anyone, anywhere who will listen.
As a child, I was terrified of meeting characters, so my time as an off-duty Cast Member was mainly spent in the parks with my favorite Disney pals. Below are two of my all-time favorite character pictures: meeting the boss, Mickey Mouse, and Marie from Aristocats.
