If you love historic, coastal areas you will love Wilmington, NC. The Wilmington area was one of my bucket-list locations for the longest time… mainly because One Tree Hill was filmed there 😉Wilmington, and its surrounding areas, are definitely a must-visit. Whether you’re a history buff, film & tv fanatic, water baby, or simply enjoy visiting beautful new places, this is the place for you. One of my favorite parts of this area is that in order to visit area islands such as Southport and Bald Head Island, you have the take the ferry. To me, there is something exciting about needing a special mode of transportation to reach a destination. This area is a great weekend getaway, and just as gorgeous in the Fall. You’ll definitely want to add this to your bucket-list!
